The Children CHICKS Help
CHICKS aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with the life enhancing experience of a free respite break away in the countryside at one of our centres in Devon or Cornwall.
CHICKS helps children from a variety of different backgrounds, just a few examples are children growing up in poverty, children of prisoners, and children who have been abused, either physically, emotionally or sexually. CHICKS Retreats - We have two stunning centres in the West Country; ‘Coastal’ Retreat in Cornwall and ‘Moorland’ Retreat in Devon. Both centres operate to the same high standards and conditions.
Country Holidays for Inner City Kids (CHICKS) is a registered children’s charity, founded in 1992, which offers free, 6-day residential respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK, who would not otherwise have a holiday that year.

CHICKS vision is to give every disadvantaged child the opportunity to feel valued. Childhood lasts for such a short time. It should be a time for laughter and learning, not a time of fear and isolation.
CHICKS are a member of the Fundraising Standards Board. The FRSB oversees a transparent and independent scheme for fundraising, encouraging high standards so that they can increase public confidence in charitable giving.
