Parachute Jumps

Are you brave enough to leap out of an aeroplane for CHICKS?

Experience the thrill of a parachute jump and help us provide more respite breaks for disadvantaged children.

If you'd like to experience the thrill of skydiving, then here's your chance. We are looking for adventurous volunteers to make a fundraising parachute jump in aid of the CHICKS.

No experience is necessary as full training is given. And if you raise enough in sponsorship money, you will get to jump for free! So, if you're a thrill seeker, or you know someone who is, read on...

What type of jump is it?
We've teamed up with a company called Skyline to offer you a choice of jumps:

10,000ft freefall parachute jump
You will be harnessed to an experienced parachute instructor at all times during this tandem skydive, freefalling to 5,000 feet and then riding the parachute down to the ground. Jump and training are completed in one day.

Static line parachute jump - on your own!
You will jump solo from 3,000 feet whilst securely attached to a static line which is designed to automatically open your parachute as you exit the aircraft. The jump is in two parts - training on the Saturday ready for the jump on Sunday.

Accelerated freefall
This solo skydive is as close as you can get to the real thing!

Where and when can I jump?
Jumps are available most weekends at over 20 British Parachute Association approved centres across the UK and we will place you at your nearest centre.

How do I raise the sponsorship money?
We will provide you with sponsorship forms and fundraising tips to help you raise the minimum amount you need to complete your parachute jump (from £280 depending on the type of jump you choose).
