Our Kilimanjaro trekkers did it!
- Monday, 07 March 2011 10:09

Congratulations to Paul Thorpe and John Drain who successfully attempted the climb to the summit of Kilimanjaro, the highest free standing mountain in the world at 5,895m.
This is what Paul had to say about his experience:
"I am pleased to say that I managed to make it to the top. As expected I had to endure all those problems, diarrhoea, dehydration and lack of sleep (mainly down to Johns snoring) and of course, exhaustion. So in the main the whole experience was good value for money. I have been back now for a couple of weeks and just about recovered, my bed never felt so good!"
We know they endured a tough and arduous challenge, so from everyone at CHICKS, we would like to say a special 'thank you' to Paul and John for their incredible efforts.
In addition, they have collectively raised a staggering £15,990! Well done guys and CONGRATULATIONS!

Throughout May we will be running our Change for CHICKS campaign. We're asking all our supporters to encourage their friends, family and colleagues to donate their small change to CHICKS. More...
