Hello all

I am the new Community and Events fundraiser (South & SW) for CHICKS and yesterday I had the privilege of spending a whole day as a volunteer with the kids from "Bopping" camp here at our Moorland Retreat.

I could see the CHICKS magic first hand, with well structured activities helping everyone get along. We did rock climbing to build confidence and spent the afternoon in the veg garden planting onions and lots of veggies donated by our friends at Suttons Seeds. After a healthy dinner we partied the night away doing Kareoke and looking at the stars. I have so much respect for the supervisors and volunteers who work on the camps to make a wonderful environment for building trust and introducing the children to new experiences.
