In Memory Giving allows friends and family to celebrate the life of a loved one by donating to a cause close to their heart.

Gift of Hope Fund:

Remembering a loved one by creating a CHICKS Gift of Hope fund in their name is a wonderful way to commemorate their life whilst helping CHICKS provide respite breaks for hundreds of disadvantaged children. When you give in memory of a special person we set up a Gift of Hope Fund in their name. Gift of Hope Funds can be set up very simply by way of phone, post or email. We can supply you with donation slips and freepost envelopes to give to your friends and family, which also allow us to claim Gift Aid on donations, raising even more funds for children who need a break from their home circumstances.

This Gift of Hope Fund can be kept open indefinitely, giving you and your friends and family the chance to remember your special someone at special times. We will thank each individual for their kind donation, provided they fill out their contact details on the donation form or contact us and tell us which fund they would like to donate to.

After a certain period of time we will write to you with the amount raised in the Gift of Hope Fund, and we will keep you up to date on an annual basis if the fund is kept open.

Ways you can make a memorial donation:

• Give in lieu of flowers or have a funeral collection. You may like to give a donation in lieu of flowers; your funeral director can help with this. Some people also hold collections at funerals and donate the proceeds. To make things as simple as possible we can provide discreet collection envelopes, to be placed on individual seats, put on a table or included in an order of service. You can collect these envelopes on the day of the service or send them to us at a later date.
• Set up an In Memory page on BT MyDonate. The link will guide you through creating your own fundraising page in memory of a loved one with funds raised going directly to CHICKS. Setting up a page is quick and simple and will allow family and friends to donate safely and securely.
• Make a one-off donation on online at BT MyDonate.
• Send in a cheque (made payable to CHICKS) to: CHICKS Moorland Retreat, Bonnaford, Brentor, Tavistock, Devon PL19 OLX
• Call in and make a donation over the phone on 01822 811126

However you choose to remember a person special to you, CHICKS will be grateful for your thought and support at this difficult time. We will do anything to make it as easy as possible for you.
