The Fifth of November - One to remember

Lastest Update

CHICKS Children on both Tap and Secret Garden camp enjoyed a great evening out for Bonfire night last weekend. Children from our Moorland retreat stayed local and ventured up to Brentor Church to enjoy a near by display.

Armed with sleeping bags and wrapped in coats, scarves and hats the group could see for miles around the beautiful countryside. Down at our Costal Retreat the group were lucky enough to be invited to a special celebration at Lankelly Fowey RFC.

While munching on delicious hot dogs, the CHICKS group at our Costal Retreat were even lucky enough to receive goody bags containing glow sticks and other little exciting bits and pieces to play with while they waited in anticipation.

Jane Bell from Lankelly Fowey RFC said "It was a great night and the children all seemed to enjoy themselves. We loved having you all and hope the children will take good memories back home. One of the boys asked if my husband Rob was the Sheriff of Cornwall!! (He wears cowboy style hats!) It made Rob's night." Thank you to everyone was involved and for inviting us to join in with the fun.

CHICKS have two stunning rural retreats and with the temperature dropping and the evenings quickly getting darker, now is the time to wrap up warm and venture out into the wild. Fireworks night can be one of the most magical nights of the year and there is no mistaking that first explosion of colour as silence falls upon everyone and all eyes are drawn towards the starry sky. It is a night that promises to be filled with bright lights and sparkles that is sure to leave everyone buzzing with excitement!

The Children down at our Cornish Retreat have been invited to Lankelly Rugby Club and at our Moorland Retreat they are thinking of having hot chocolate on the Moor watching the village fireworks or maybe venturing out to a local display. This is a fantastic time for everyone at camp - volunteers, supervisors and children come together with their new friends and experience what for many is one of the most thrilling nights of the year.
