We are thrilled to announce that Cricket Scotland has chosen CHICKS as their 2012 Charity of the Year!

Scottish Fundraising Manager Amanda Hillhouse is delighted with the partnership, 'We are thrilled to have Cricket Scotland's support. It's a fantastic opportunity to help create awareness and much needed funds for the respite breaks of disadvantaged children from across Scotland."

In early May, to get the partnership started, Cricket Scotland are launching an on-line silent auction - please keep checking their website for further information and your opportunity to bid for some wonderful prizes from the world of cricket!

Child_playing_Cricket_-_for_webCricket Scotland Chief Executive Roddy Smith had this to say on the partnership, "We are delighted to be working with CHICKS as our official charity partner. They do outstanding work for children in Scotland and throughout the UK and we will do all we can to support them throughout the year."

The CHICKS logo will also appear on the collar of the Scottish Saltires CB40 shirts, and there will be various fund raising and profile events happening throughout the year including the Scotland v England match in August – please keep checking our website for further details.

CHICKS Patron and former England Cricket Captain David Gower, has been involved in the charity for many years and is a huge supporter of CHICKS work. On the partnership he commented, "I am delighted to hear that there is support for CHICKS and its great work coming from another part of the cricketing world, Scotland. It is great that Cricket Scotland has named CHICKS as its charity of the year and I sincerely hope that the partnership is a successful one. Indeed I hope it is a hugely productive year for both the Scottish team and all who work so tirelessly for CHICKS."
