CHICKS Charity Golf Day

GolfDay2011This year we will be holding our annual Golf Day at Trethorne Golf Club on Friday 22nd June 2012 and are appealing for enthusiastic golfers to attend the event.

CHICKS Fundraiser Mick Ryan said, “This year we are celebrating our 20th anniversary and aim to provide breaks for 1,200 disadvantaged children. If we reach this goal we will have helped 10,000 children since we began in 1992.  Although the respite breaks are free for the children, each child place cost us on average £722. Events like our annual Golf Day help us raise the vital funds we need to provide the breaks.”

CHICKS would like to thank Martin Smith and all at the Firewatch Group (FWG) for sponsoring the event for the third year running.  This year we have introduced 'Hole in One' prizes for all Par 3s including a £5,000 PRIZE for a hole in one on the 8th hole. Many thanks also go to VOSPERS who are the Hole in One sponsor for the event.

We are very grateful to Carole and Robin Reip and all at Trethorne Golf Club for their continued support. The club is set in the picturesque Cornish countryside on the Devon / Cornwall border, conveniently located just off the A30.  Trethorne can offer competitive membership packages, green fee rates and comfortable accommodation.

The CHICKS Charity Golf Day starts with a bacon sandwich and hot drink followed by the 18 hole Stableford competition with a prize on every hole, free halfway house, two’s competition and concludes with a delicious meal and prize giving.

Places for the Charity Golf Day are just £40 per person and bookings can be made by contacting Mick Ryan on 01822 811020 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
