A special bag full of wonderful MEMORIES…

Can you sew? Can you embroider? Then you are just the person we are looking for! CHICKS appeals to all handcrafters to take part in their 'Make a Memory Bag' campaign.

Just before the camp children head back home, they receive a drawstring bag full of things we feel will help them remember their fantastic time at CHICKS – a special keepsake as an everlasting memory. We might include a montage of photos from their time on camp, including one of the camp group so that they can look back and remember the new friends they met. It will include other small items like a pocket kite and games.

The drawstring bags are our ‘Memory Bags’ and we would like each bag to be handmade especially for the individual child. Our ‘Make a Memory Bag’ Fundraising Pack contains instructions on how to make the bags, including dimensions and an embroidery template. We are also asking everyone who makes one of our very special bags to ask family and friends to sponsor the bag. This sponsorship money will help cover the cost of the keepsakes.

Also included in the pack is a ‘Make a Memory Bag’ flyer for you to pass onto someone else who you think would like to take part.

Just think, a child has a fantastic time at CHICKS, full of laughter and fun, and at the end of their stay, they take away with them YOUR bag – a special bag uniquely designed for them.
