The perfect Christmas for CHICKS kids

Thanks to all of our wonderful supporters, amazing volunteers and hardworking staff, CHICKS Christmas Camps were a huge success! There may have been lots of rain in the South West but that didn't dampen the Christmas spirit on camp.
Great Fun at the 20th Birthday Ball!

We held our 20th Birthday Ball recently at HM Naval Base in Plymouth. It was an exciting evening with birthday cake, pass the parcel, great music and of course the traditional live auction, silent auction and raffle.
Phil Vickery Officially Opens Our Wooden Spoon Sports Barn

In 2011, CHICKS received a donation of £70,000 from the Wooden Spoon Charity to build a new sports barn at our Moorland Retreat. In 2012, this barn was put to good use, as the children played traditional games like football and tag rugby, and also made up their own games as they went along!

The Jess Memorial Surf Competition took place at Polzeath on Saturday 29th September. In 2009 Jess sadly passed away and ever since her family have supported children’s charity
10,000th child comes on camp!

This week we have reached the incredible milestone of providing 10,000 free respite breaks since we began in 1992! We were delighted to receive a visit from the High Sheriff of Devon, Robin Barlow, on Tuesday to present the 10,000th child to have come through our doors with a certificate and also to talk to the children about his position as a High Sheriff.
Another Olympic Triumph for CHICKS

CHICKS charity CEO Eleanor Hoskin received a massive £16,307.33 cheque from Andrew Barker (Director) and Kate Treleaven (Event Manager) from Endurancelife following the EL Real Relay 2012. The alternative Olympic torch relay which saw runners cover 7,300 miles around the country.
