From Pantos, Moustache Shaving & Dung Sale

The Cheriton Bishop & Tedburn St Mary Young Farmers Club’s successful year of fundraising raises £2,535 for CHICKS

The Young Farmers Group were extremely active during thier year of charitable fundraising.  Kicking off the year, they organized a very successful pantomime “Cinderella and the Beanstalk”. The story ofCinderella was given a slight twist when Giant Credit Crunch (who lived up the beanstalk) tried to close down the farmers market that Cinderella's father(Baron Henry Hard Up the 8th) owned.   This was followed by a dung sale which raised over £200 and then only recently  Roger Cudlip, Landlord of the Tom Cobley Tavern in Spreyton raised £1,350 when he agreed to shave his mustache off during a fundraising disco.

Jo Westerman, CHICKS Community Fundraising Manager says “we would like to thank all the members of the Cheriton & Tedburn Young Farmers for organizing a whole host of fundraising events and raising so much money for CHICKS”.
