Waving their CHICKS Bookmarks

Plymouth University Event Management Students
get a taste for fundraising!
 
CHICKS is delighted to have teamed up with Plymouth University Event Management Students to work on three fundraising events taking place this year.
 
Approximately 20 students will be working on the two CHICKS summer fayres which are themed as teddy bear picnics and the very first CHICKS Big Bear Walk which takes place in Plymouth’s Central Park on Sunday 17th October.
 
Jo Westerman, CHICKS Community Fundraising Manager, says “the great thing about this partnership is that everyone wins. We really need the extra hands to create even better events and the students will gain invaluable event management experience. I was amazed at how many students wanted to come onto the team and I am delighted. Event work is very enjoyable both in the planning stages and great fun on the actual day”.
 

The students are pictured holding the latest CHICKS bookmarks which are free to any individual or group who would like one. The bookmarks detail how you can become involved in the work of CHICKS.
