Office Volunteer Opportunities
We have a number of volunteering opportunities available at our offices in Ashbourne and Buckfastleigh, which stretch across various departments including Fundraising, Trusts and the Young Persons Hub.
Break Volunteer Opportunities
Come and volunteer on a CHICKS break! You'll spend a week at our retreat in Derbyshire, where you'll be able to take part in lots of exciting activities while making a difference to the lives of disadvantaged children. Anyone who is 18 and over can volunteer and there is no upper age limit. You just need to be willing to get involved and have fun!
Shop Volunteer Opportunities
CHICKS now have three charity shops up and running in the South West. Our shops – in Exeter, Torquay and Newton Abbot – stock a unique collection of pre-loved men’s, women’s and children’s fashion items, as well as books, DVDs, records, homeware and bric-a-brac. We are always in need of refreshing our stock, and are also on the lookout for new shop volunteers!
Community Volunteer Opportunities
Inspired to further help the work of CHICKS and support disadvantaged children and young carers from across the UK in accessing a break? Our volunteer fundraisers play a crucial role in helping tell people about the value of the respite breaks and raising vital funds to help fund the breaks.
Please note: we operate a Safer Recruitment policy, which ensures that all our staff are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
