Trusts Fundraiser (Maternity Cover)

Location: Brentor, Devon

(Opportunity for Flexible Working & Part Time Considered)
Nationwide travel required
Salary: £15,544 - £18,816

 

This is a great opportunity for an individual keen to work in a trusts fundraising environment and for a charity in its next phase of growth and we are looking for a focussed and committed person to take on the challenge whilst helping the charity to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a fundraising team, a self-starter with good self-management skills, possess the ability to think strategically and good organisational skills with an ethos aligned to the charity.

The post holder is responsible for supporting and assisting the Trusts & Major Gifts Manager to raise funds from trusts, foundations and similar grant providers and major individual gifts.

Daleside Cleaner

Fenny Bentley, Derbyshire

16 hours per week (over 4 days, day time hours)

Salary: £7.83 - £8.98 per hour

 

We are looking to recruit a Cleaner for our Daleside Retreat in Fenny Bentley, Derbyshire. The role will involve: preparing the retreat for the arrival of the group; keeping the retreat clean and tidy throughout the week; and deep cleaning during weeks we have no children staying.

The position plays a key role in making the retreat a homely and comforting environment for the young people we work with to stay in.

The successful candidate will also assist in facilitating external rental of the retreats. More detail is given in the Job Description.

CHICKS respite breaks don’t run in January, and therefore the position is contracted for 11 months of the year February – December.

Senior Respite Break Leader 

Location: Derbyshire

                 Cornwall

Salary: £22,677 - 26,263

We have opportunities to join our professional and dynamic Respite Break Team in a role that has a direct impact on the children that we support.

As a Senior Respite Break Leader you will take overall responsibility for the smooth delivery of the respite breaks that you work on.  You will lead a small team delivering fun, creative and adventurous activities throughout week-long breaks, as well as providing pastoral care in the residential setting.

We are looking for someone with significant experience in taking a lead role in delivering residential experiences to children and young people and who is ready to take increased responsibility.

Senior Respite Break Leaders will work predominately at one of our retreats.  Some travel for training purposes and to ensure consistent best practice will be required.

This is a year-round, full time position.  It involves residential working Monday-Friday on a two-weeks-on one-week-off rota.  Senior Respite Break Leaders have extended paid time off during the winter.

Applicants must be over 21 and have held a full driving licence for at least a year.  They will need to demonstrate report writing skills and computer competency.

This position could be ideal for someone currently providing activities or support for groups and wants to take the next step towards more in-depth work with children and young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated, tenacious individual, who will enjoy the challenge of optimising existing relationships plus taking the charity to a new audience.  Previous fundraising, sales or marketing experience is desirable, along with strong local links.

The role will require you to generate a broad base of support to ensure your income targets are met and to grow awareness of the charity across the region.

The post holder is responsible for securing income and managing relationships with community groups, local businesses and major supporters.  Building upon a strong established supporter base you will ensure our income streams continue to grow.
