Have you the passion and commitment to promote our charity in the Devon area using your outstanding networking skills to grow on our established supporter base and build up our income streams?
We are looking for a highly motivated, tenacious individual, who will enjoy the challenge of optimising existing relationships plus taking the charity to a new audience. Previous fundraising, sales or marketing experience is desirable, along with strong local links.
The role will require you to generate a broad base of support to ensure your income targets are met and to grow awareness of the charity across the region.
The postholder is responsible for securing income and managing relationships with community groups, local businesses and major supporters. Building upon a strong established supporter base you will ensure our income streams continue to grow.

Referral and Volunteer Development Officer
Location: Fenny Bentley, Ashbourne

Salary: £15,544 - £18,816

Working as a key member of our Coordination Team you will be responsible for increasing the base of professionals who refer children to us as well as growing our volunteer team. This will involve building relationships with a wide range of people as well as promoting and increasing knowledge of the charity.
To be successful you should have strong interpersonal and presenting skills, be able to communicate well with professionals, parents and people of all ages and backgrounds. You will be creative and adaptable as well as being independent and self-motivated.
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential.
Full training will be provided.
All children that attend a CHICKS respite break have been referred by professionals who we call referral agents. Each respite break requires up to 6 volunteers to be involved for the week in order to provide high quality adult interaction and support for the children. The Referral and Volunteer Development Officer is responsible for sourcing new contacts with people that can make child referrals and new respite break volunteers from across the UK as well as strengthening relationships with existing ones to maximise their potential. They work within the Coordination Team and have a strong relationship with the Fundraising Team.
