Making Memories… Giving Hope

Introducing the Ice Cream Moment!

Share

What's your ice cream moment? We all have one!

Most of us are lucky enough to remember our childhood 'ice cream moments' - a term we've coined to describe those treasured memories of a moment of pure holiday joy! Whether it was eating an ice cream at the seaside, playing board games with family members on holiday, splashing in rivers in the countryside or feeling the sand between our toes - we all have fond childhood memories of summer holidays.

Sadly, there are thousands of children in the UK whose lives are not filled with these simple pleasures. Through no fault of their own, they face hardship and poverty which means they don't have the opportunity to enjoy a holiday. This is where CHICKS steps in - we provide disadvantaged children in the UK with free five-day respite breaks, so they too can look back and enjoy their own 'ice cream moments'!

"This is one of the best weeks I have ever had.
There have been so many times I’ve laughed.
You’ve all made me so happy."

- 14-year-old CHICKS child

But we can only continue to give children these opportunities with your help.

Spread the word by sharing your very own #IceCreamMoment on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook (remember to tag @CHICKScharity) and please consider donating to help make more magical memories!
