Tavistock Wheelers Cycling Club raised £205 for CHICKS when they took on their brand new '3 Masts Challenge'!
The challenge involved cycling 122 miles between three different phone masts on Dartmoor, located at Princetown, Huntshaw Cross and Minions. 23 intrepid riders took on the challenge and helped raise money for CHICKS and the Devon Air Ambulance.
Darren Foley, from the club, said: “We created the "TWCC 3 Mast Challenge" to give our club members the chance to complete a summer century ride, which is a bike ride of at least 100 miles, within the safe environment of our club.
"As an added incentive, we chose to support two charities, CHICKS and the Devon Air Ambulance Trust. The CHICKS charity does incredible work providing young, disadvantaged people with free respite breaks and we are very proud to be able to support them, so they can continue to do their fantastic work.”
We'd like to say a huge thank you and well done to everyone who took part in the event!
