Making Memories… Giving Hope

#12VolunteersOfChristmas: Meet Rachel!

After first volunteering in 2014, Rachel is returning to join us this Christmas! She said: “I have been fortunate to have had many happy family Christmases, and would like to help children who would otherwise not be able to enjoy the simple pleasures of Christmas time – fun, friendship, singing, food, games, presents and decorations.” On the Christmas break they’ll be doing just that, enjoying all the festivities that many of us take for granted!

Rachel’s favourite CHICKS memory is of going to the beach with children who had never seen the sea before, and watching them delight in the experience.

CHICKS has provided over 1100 children with magical experiences like this during 2015, and over 20 will be coming to spend Christmas with us.
