Cast your vote to change a vulnerable young person’s childhood forever
If you follow us on social media, you'll know already that we have been shortlisted to win a share of Persimmon Homes’ £1 million Building Futures fund, and we are calling on you to help us win a prize up to £100,000.
Here at CHICKS, we bring light and happiness to the lives of hundreds of the UK’s most vulnerable young people every year, giving them the chance to attend a week-long respite break, away from the serious challenges they face at home.
Persimmon Homes North Midlands division is backing us to win a cash prize of £20,000, £50,000 or £100,000 at their gala dinner in October, but whether we win is entirely dependent on receiving a high number of online votes.
Please visit chicks.org.uk/persimmon to cast your vote and change a young person’s childhood forever.
CHICKS Corporate and Regional Fundraising Manager, Mabel Duncombe, explained: “We are hugely proud to have been selected as a regional finalist for Persimmon Homes Building Futures, and are calling on as many people as possible to please vote for us and help us win one of the top cash prizes available.
“You can vote in three easy clicks by heading to chicks.org.uk/persimmon. You can then continue to vote every 24 hours until the closing date, which is on Friday 27 September.”
About the Persimmon Homes Building Futures awards
Building Futures is being delivered through the Persimmon Charitable Foundation.
Through Building Futures, a total of 128 grants of £1,000 have been awarded to groups supporting sport, education and arts, and health across Persimmon’s 31 regional businesses and its head office.
Persimmon Homes is an official partner of Team GB, and the Persimmon Charitable Foundation enlisted the help of medallists Kat Copeland and Callum Skinner to help determine the three regional finalists for each of the 31 business divisions.
One initiative from each category will go on to win £100,000 each through the national award scheme, decided by the online vote.
As well as the £100,000 first prize, there will be a £50,000 second prize and a £20,000 third prize in each sector, while a further 87 shortlisted projects will each receive £5,000.
Online voting is now open and will close at midnight on 27 September 2019.
