Making Memories… Giving Hope

#TeamCHICKS raises over £2,000 at Royal Parks Half Marathon

Last Sunday (13 October), three budding runners participated in London's Royal Parks Half Marathon for #TeamCHICKS, raising over £2,000 to enable more disadvantaged and vulnerable children and young people in the UK to attend a CHICKS break.

Alex Hirons, Jennifer Morton and Matt Hollings each completed the 13.1-mile run, which takes in many of Central London's most famous landmarks and four of the capital's Royal Parks – Hyde Park, The Green Park, St James's Park and Kensington Gardens.

At the time of publishing, the three #TeamCHICKS runners had raised a combined total of £2,233 including Gift Aid, all surpassing their individual fundraising targets! This money will help fund more CHICKS respite breaks in the future, giving more young people aged 8-17 living in difficult circumstances the break from home they so desperately need.

Alex, pictured above, completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon in 2:21:07. Matt finished in 1:53:45 and Jennifer clocked in at 2:04:42.

Thank you so much to all three #TeamCHICKS runners for your incredible efforts! You can still contribute to their fundraising campaigns here: Alex's campaign, Jennifer's campaign, Matt's campaign.
