CHICKS Chief Executive Officer Andrew Dean has decided to leave the charity in order to explore new opportunities from the start of March 2020.
CHICKS Chair of Trustees Steve Brearley has issued the following statement: “On behalf of CHICKS, I can confirm that following a period of loyal service to the charity, Chief Executive Officer Andrew Dean has decided to leave in order to explore new opportunities externally, with effect from the start of March 2020.
“During his time at the charity, Andrew undertook the role of Deputy Chief Executive (Director, Fundraising & Development) before taking on the role of CEO in February 2018.
“The Board recognises the contribution Andrew has made to this charity during his tenure and would like to wish him all the very best for his future endeavours.”
Victoria Aspinall, previously Director of Enterprise at CHICKS, has been appointed interim CEO by the Board.
Steve added: “We welcome Victoria to the role of interim CEO and look forward to working with her to ensure the smooth running of the charity’s operations going forward.”
Victoria is looking forward to working closely with CHICKS senior leadership team and the Board of Trustees over the coming months. She explained: “Having been with CHICKS for the last two years, I have seen what an incredible difference this organisation makes to the lives of children and young people across the UK, and am excited to see what the future holds for the charity.
“I am pleased to be working with CHICKS staff and our community of volunteers to ensure that as many children as possible are able to benefit from a week of laughter, adventure and happy memory-making at CHICKS in 2020.”
