Making Memories… Giving Hope

Do you work with children in Scotland?

CHICKS has been granted some funding to specifically support children from Scotland with a free week-long respite break.

We have been supporting young carers groups from Scotland for the last 10 years but we are looking to expand our networks, and support more children this year.

If you work with disadvantaged children in Scotland who would benefit from a CHICKS respite break, then we want to hear from you! The children we support come from a variety of backgrounds, and there is no such thing as a 'typical' CHICKS child. They might be living in poverty, have been victims of abuse, have been bereaved, be young carers or living in care.

CHICKS is ASDAN accredited, which means that coming on a break with us will not affect children's school attendance record.

For more information about CHICKS breaks, and if you work with Scottish children who could benefit from a break at one of our retreats, please get in touch with Lisa: or 01822 811 115.

Anyone who works with a child in a professional capacity can refer them to CHICKS. For more information, check out our Refer A Child page.
