Making Memories… Giving Hope

Thank you to Radio 4 listeners!

Thank you to all the wonderful people who supported our BBC Radio 4 Appeal. The total raised to date is a staggering £28,405.50!

That’s enough to pay for 710 children to take part in the outdoor activities they get to try on their breaks, like horse riding, rock climbing and surfing.

Alan Titchmarsh, our patron who recorded the appeal, said: “Thank you to everyone who has generously supported the BBC Radio 4 Appeal. I’m astounded at the amount raised – it really will make a huge difference to the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in the UK, giving them the chance to experience all the joys of the great outdoors. I hope you’ll join me in continuing to support CHICKS in the future.”

Once Gift Aid has been claimed, the total of our appeal will be well over £30,000, which is really incredible news! That’s enough to pay for two full week-long breaks at one of our retreats, which would help 32 children.

Thank you, Radio 4 listeners, for helping us to make happy childhood memories for even more disadvantaged children.

If you missed the Appeal, you can listen to it again here, and you can donate to CHICKS at anytime.
